[4K] Korea Walk - Haeinsa Temple."The Tripitaka Koreana" is preserved. Unesco World Heritage.

 Hello, My friends.

I am 'Seoul 4K Walker' who share healing videos with you. Today, I visited Haeinsa Temple (Gayasan Haeinsa), where the UNESCO World Heritage Site "The Tripitaka Koreana" is preserved. A walking tour. Mt. Gaya is the spritual place that has witnessed the development of Korean Buddhist tradition. Gaya, the name or the Mountain, originated from Buda Gaya, an Indian Town, wher Sakyamuni Buddha attained his enlightenment. Or it refers to the Dae Gaya. The scenery of fantastical rocks resembling the shape of Buddha , pine forests, and the stream flowing along Hongnyu dong Creek between the Sangwangbong of Mt. Gaya and Namsan Jeilbong of Mt. Maehwa is spectacular and sublime. It was also famous as a school trip destination for students in Korea. This temple was built by Sun-eung and Lee Jeong, who were descendants of Great Master Uisang, in the 3rd year of King Aejang, the 40th king of Silla. The solemn yet dignified aspect of the temple is even more beautiful in harmony with Mt. Gaya, which is wrapped around like a folding screen. The Tripitaka Koreana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and National Treasure No. 32 located here, is called the Tripitaka Koreana because it has 80,000 sutras and contains the 80,000 Buddhist texts of the Buddha. Recognizing the historic and cultural value of the Tripitaka Koreana(TK) of Haeinsa, UNESCO inscribed Janggyeong Panjeon, the depository of the TK, on the World Heritage Sites List in 1995, and the woodblocks of the TK and other Buddhist scriptures on the Memory of the World Register in 2007. If you subscribe and like the alarm bell, I will make a better video. :) With ‘Seoul 4K Walker’, you will feel a long way closer. Have a nice day. Haeinsa is most notable for being the home of the Tripitaka Koreana, the whole of the Buddhist Scriptures carved onto 81,350 wooden printing blocks, which it has housed since 1398. Haeinsa is one of the Three Jewels Temples, and represents Dharma or the Buddha’s teachings. It is still an active Seon (선, 禪) practice center in modern times, and was the home temple of the influential Seon master Seongcheol (성철, 性徹), who died in 1993. ▶Google Blog: https://hikoreawalker.blogspot.com ▶Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/seoul4kwalker #합천해인사#KoreaTemple#WorldHeritageSite
